AWAKENED STORIES

The Ultimate Guide to Tracing Your Slovak Roots from Home.

Uncover your family's history and conduct your own genealogical research in Slovakia—entirely on your own. This step-by-step manual shows you exactly how to navigate Slovak archives, decode old records, and piece together the forgotten stories of your ancestors, no matter how far from Europe you are.

Inside this practical 72-page e-book (US Letter print-ready PDF), you will find specific, proven instructions to successfully build your Slovak family tree from scratch.

Why did this e-book come to life?

Over my 16 years as a professional genealogist in Slovakia, I have helped hundreds of families reconnect with their roots. However, I realize that high-end, custom-made genealogical research isn't for everyone. Some people don't want to just receive a finished book—they want to experience the thrill of the hunt themselves. That is why I decided to pack my complete archival blueprint into this comprehensive guide.

I know exactly how overwhelming and difficult it must feel for someone living abroad to research Slovak church books and state archives. Navigating foreign records, historical language barriers (Slovak, Latin, or Hungarian), and handwriting from centuries ago can feel like an impossible puzzle.

This ultimate guide bridges that gap. It is built strictly on hands-on practice, not dry academic theory. I am handing over the exact step-by-step methods and proven shortcuts I use daily in the archives. I will teach you how to break through these barriers so you can fast-track your research and achieve real, thrilling results on your own—while my premium custom research services remain available for those who prefer a completely hands-off, expert-driven approach.

What You Will Discover Inside the E-Book:

A Clear Decoding System: A practical, fluff-free guide on how to read and understand old Slovak church and state registers written in Hungarian and Latin.

Real Stories, Not Just Dates: Learn the exact methods to uncover how your ancestors truly lived, what land they farmed, and the daily lives they built in their villages.

Military Ancestry Secrets: A step-by-step walkthrough on how to search casualty lists and military archives to track down the fates of your ancestors during World War I.

An inside look: What first readers are saying

"I entered the world of genealogy as a complete novice. And I can honestly say that this book is written in a clear, engaging, and practical way, and it motivates readers to explore their own roots. I have the honor of sitting next to the author and watching as he gradually searches for information, connects the dots, returns to old documents, and manages to uncover things I never would have imagined could still be discovered. It’s not just a list of names and dates—there’s a family story behind it all that comes to life through his research. In my opinion, the book is suitable not only for complete beginners but also for those who already have a wealth of collected data and documents at home and need to organize their research. I also consider the topics that go beyond the scope of a typical family tree—such as tracing soldiers from World War I, land registers, economic conditions, censuses, and emigration—to be a major plus. This is a book that will help you turn an ordinary family tree into a vivid portrait of your family."

– Veronika, Chief Editor & Beta Reader

"I’m not just starting out on my family history research. I’ve already gathered quite a bit of information and stories. This e-book contains a lot of useful advice and guidance for me. The book is organized in a very clear and easy-to-understand way. I know your e-book will help me “organize” all my data and documents in a clear and understandable way. I’m grateful for this guide to family trees. The Printable Ancestor Profile Sheet is a great bonus that makes it so much easier to organize data from loose scraps of paper and notebooks. It helps tremendously."

– Renata, Verified Reader

"The book is great; it really helped me with the instructions on how to search for my ancestors. Thank you very much for the ancestor card, and I'm already really looking forward to the family tree template. Best of luck to you."

– Peter, Verified Reader

"I've already printed and read the book; I love it. Tomorrow I'm taking it to a local print shop to get it spiral-bound. I also printed the profile sheets to start filling in my data. I can already map my lineage back to around 1880 with near 100% accuracy."

– Miroslav, Verified Reader

"I haven't started on my family tree yet; I plan to do that over the winter months. However, I've read the e-book you sent, and I'll be using it as a guide to trace my ancestors. Thank you very much for the family tree templates as well."

– Janka, Early Access Reader

"The family tree templates are beautiful—the colorful background, the layout of the boxes, and the family crest emblem. I had them printed in large format (Tabloid size), and they look amazing on display. Plus, the template goes perfectly with the Ancestor Sheets and the e-book, making it a beautiful set."
